Clean bunks, friendly staff, cost effective option, short walk to takeaway, pub, and restaurant. Eco-friendly, drinking water available, open airy building, great location with bird book and herbs. Convenient, helpful owners, relaxing yard, canoeing at night, Tree-kangaroos and Platypus sightings, explore Yungaburra and national parks. Amazing place, generous and friendly atmosphere, bbq invitation, indigenous ceremony, ecological responsibility, pretty and comfortable cabin. Would love to return!

The location was fantastic, surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to key attractions. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth.
There were some limitations in the room, such as the lack of a fan or bedside light. the walls seemed quite thin as I could easily hear conversations from neighboring rooms.

I had a blast exploring the breathtaking lakes, waterfalls, and rainforests. Night canoeing was an unforgettable adventure. And who knew Uncle Brian has been entertaining people with rainforest experiences for decades?!
Oh, the beds were just a tad too comfortable for my liking. How could I possibly get any beauty sleep with that level of cushiness?

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, with friendly staff and a great sense of community. The location was perfect, right in the heart of a beautiful town surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. I also loved the eco-friendly facilities and the efforts made by the hostel to save the environment.
The lack of security was a bit concerning. There were no keys to the rooms and the front doors were always open, making it difficult to leave valuables in the room.

The location of the lodge is fantastic, with plenty of local attractions nearby such as Platypus viewing, Lake Barrine, and Gallo dairy. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local tours and restaurants. the lodge itself has a relaxed and chilled vibe, with a cozy fireplace and comfortable beds. the cooking facilities are excellent, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. the lodge also offers an eco-friendly environment, with an edible garden and drinking water availability.
Being woken up by a meowing cat at 4am, which may have been a one-time occurrence.

We loved the cozy and comfortable rooms, especially the double bed and chair. the wood fire in the lounge created a warm and inviting atmosphere. the fully equipped kitchen was a major plus, and the shared bathrooms were clean and comfortable. the staff were friendly, helpful, and even offered advice on local activities like spotting a platypus. the outdoor area with the firepit was a great place to relax in the evening. the hostel also offered tours and the use of push bikes and leisure sport equipment for a small fee. the $10 BBQ dinner and $5 breakfast were a convenient and affordable option. Plenty of parking was available across the road.
